Bask In The Cuteness Of Kumail Nanjiani’s Proud Husband Oscars Moment

Kumail Nanjiani just had a very sweet proud-partner moment when he took a picture of wife, Emily V. Gordon standing up during Best Actress Winner, Frances McDormand’s rousing speech where she invited all female nominees to stand with her during the 90th Academy Awards Ceremony.  And then Nanjiani posted the picture on Twitter to make all our hearts melt at the power couple we all aspire to be a part of. #creys

In case your memories a bit blurry, said power couple brought you The Big Sick, a romantic comedy and drama that told the tale of modern day interracial relationships. If you haven’t watched it, you are missing out big time ‘cos it’ll make you feel very strange things in ya chest. The couple were nominated together for Best Original Screenplay and even though they lost to Jordan Peele’s, Get Out, the nomination is still a tremendous achievement to have major bragging rights over.

So again ICYMI: Frances McDormand took out Best Actress for her performance in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and during her speech she asked all her fellow female nominees to stand up in a powerful message to the film industry about inclusion. It was an incredible moment to experience and to have one of the nominees’ partner show appreciation, was very, very wholesome to see.

“If you don’t frame this, I will.”

Earlier in the evening, Nanjiani alongside fellow actor, Lupita Nyong’o gave a speech about the dreams of immigrants in the country and how valid they are. And TBH, we weren’t ready for any of this.
