In the last 24 hours two Academy Award nominated actors, Kate Winslet and Ryan Gosling, have performed heroic acts – which is exactly like when regular everyday people perform heroic acts except way better looking.
Winslet was staying with Richard Branson at his Caribbean estate when lightning struck the house in the early hours of Monday morning causing a huge fire. The whole house was destroyed but everyone got out safely – including Branson’s mum who Kate plucked from the flames. The Virgin founder said “…many thanks to Kate Winslet for helping to carry my 90-year-old mum out of the main house to safety.” What a legend!
Ryan Gosling once again proved he is a perfect human being in candid video footage that captured him breaking up a street brawl in St Mark’s Place, New York. Watch the footage below which is enjoyable, firstly because of Gosling’s rippling arm muscles and also because of the moment when the girl videotaping it realises that yes that’s Ryan fucking Gosling.
