Rendering The Avengers defunct and joining a justice league of celebrity superheroes including Kate Winslet (who carried Richard Branson’s 90 year old mother from a burning house) and Ryan Gosling (who once broke up a brawl and then, only a couple of weeks ago, stopped a pedestrian from being hit by a car by pulling them back to the sidewalk), Grey’s Anatomy’s Patrick Dempsey, who plays/played McDreamy on the medical soap, has pried a teenager from a car wreck using only a crowbar, his smouldering gaze, perpetually unshaven jawline and a killer punchline.
Seventeen year old Malibu resident Weston Massett flipped his Mustang near the actor’s house, prompting the actor to rush to the scene with only a to pry the car doors open and pull him from the wreckage. Apparently the first thing Massett saw upon opening his eyes from Dempsey’s face, staring down at him: post-op Grey’s-style. There has never been a time more apt than now for this song:
Upon his removal from the wreckage Massett then asked the TV surgeon, “Are you famous?” to which the actor replied, “I’m a doctor ;)” [Ed. note: wink added]
Are you kidding me, Internet? Massett and his passenger sustained no serious injuries, only a concussion, stretched optic nerve and a life-sentence to watch Grey’s Anatomy until it’s inevitable cancellation. And I think we can agree that’s punishment enough.
