Kanye And Kim’s Vogue Cover Is Kind Of Glorious

The celebrity game is a tough gig to master; if your face isn’t everywhere, then it’s probably nowhere, and nowhere ain’t exactly a fun place to be. Proving they’re more on top of their game than ever, and further cementing their place at the top of the entertainment mountain, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have taken their combined talents (by which we mean practically unfair good looks) and leant them, however briefly, to the hallowed cover of legendary US fashion magazine, Vogue. The results, as you can plainly see, are pretty much exactly as wonderful as you’d think they would be.

Now, Kanye’s never been the kind of guy to take a backwards step in any aspect of his game. What he wants, he takes, and by god he wanted this bad. The cover, a first for both our old mate Westy and his K-loving beau, is at once strangely alluring and mildly creepy, which is more or less the formula Kanye’s been chasing for years.
The issue, which brands them with the character-inefficient tagline “#worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple” promises a look inside their fashionable life and surreal times. Though we’re not exactly expecting any revelations that make Salvador Dali look like an accountant, the accompanying behind the scenes video has more than enough fodder to justify that tagline (seriously, how the hell do they manage to make normal movements look so strange?)
The photoshoot, shot by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz, includes some candid moments with the couple’s, admittedly, totally adorable daughter North, and show’s the new family together and happy. And the cover is a big check off the ole’ Kanye West to-do list, having told Ryan Seacrest last October that they are “the most influential (couple) in clothing.
Whether that means there’s a more influential couple who are nude remains to be seen.
