The Internet Is Trolling Kimye’s Vogue Cover Into The Ground

Well, who didn’t see this coming? Yesterday the Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Vogue cover was revealed, and people were generally not really happy about it. So what do you do when you see something you don’t like? You get on the internet and troll the absolute shit out of it. Reactions and parodies are starting to flood in, and they’re exactly as good as you’d imagine. Serial Kimye-pests and real-life bros Seth Rogen and James Franco kicked things off. Franco posted this image on Instagram:

Wholly terrifying and a little bit arousing, for whatever reason. It’s just a Photoshop effort, sure. But you can’t fault the swiftness of the delivery. Here’s hoping they get it together to put out an actual parody. There’s a chance that could actually break the internet, sure. But the juice is worth the squeeze.
Even The Muppets are in on the joke. Miss Piggy posted this to her Facebook page earlier this morning.
Which is great for a lot of reasons, but most of them just sort of revolve around “Fuck yeah, Muppets!” Even one-upping Westy and Kardo by claiming to be the #UniversesMostTalkedAboutCouple is a genius move. They might not be as theoretically fashionable as the original cover act (or even, y’know, as alive) but at least Kermit looks bloody happy.
Not everyone’s having a good time with it, though. Outraged Vogue readers have taken to Twitter to lash out at the publication. Readers such as Buffy herself, the quintessential babe of the 90s, Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Whether Vogue, as a publication, can survive without SMG’s subscription dollars is a puzzle that, at the time of writing, remains unanswered.
