‘Jurassic World’ Sequel Green-Lit In 2018, Chris Pratt To Return

Hold on to your freakin’ butts, friends. Because Hollywood has realised that making a sequel to one of the biggest franchises of all time is as good as printing money, and they’re running like hell with it.

Jurassic World‘ has been officially green-lit for a sequel, according to Variety – news that’s in no way surprising, but still no less of a gift.

Sweetening the deal is the already locked-down inclusion of the ineffable Chris Pratt – along with co-star Bryce Dallas Howard. The sequel reportedly has an exact release date set in stone – the follow up will hit cinemas on June 22, 2018

Jurassic World’s director Colin Trevorrow will pen the sequel, while Steven Spielberg will remain on as an executive producer. No word as of yet on any other co-stars, or who will helm as director.

This week, ‘Jurassic World’ officially became the 3rd highest-grossing film OF ALL TIME, surging past previous bronze medalist The Avengers, now with a staggering box office haul of over $1.5 billion – without even finishing its openings globally: Jurassic World has one remaining premiere in Japan next month. ‘Jurassic World’ follows ‘Avatar’ and’Titanic’ as the highest and second-highest grossing films of all time, taking in $2.7 billion and $.2.2 billion respectively.

While we know nothing of the film’s plot yet, may the ‘Jurassic World’ sequel consist of exactly two hours of this, on loop, and absolutely nothing else. :’)
