The ageing rocker appeared on The Sunday Project the other night, sitting down with Lisa Wilkinson to talk all thing Bovine Joni-related.
In an otherwise nondescript and frankly pleasant interview, Wilkinson managed to push a button that flung old mate into an incredibly weird screed about the current state of fame.
Seemingly out of nowhere, Bon Jovi teed off on the “Housewives of Blah Blah” and the Kardashians, asserting that fame should only be the result of being some sort of artist and referring to Kim Kardashian’s leaked sex tape in the process.
I think its horrific that we live in that world, and I can tell you that I’ve never given 60 seconds of my life, ever, to one of those Housewives of Blah Blah or Kardashians… I don’t know their names I’ve never watched 60 seconds of their show, it’s not for me.
What’s gonna be in your autobiography “I made a porno and guess what I got famous”? Fuck, sorry I’ll pass. Go and write a book, paint a painting, act, study, sing, play, write. Fame was a by-product of writing a good song.
Ahh yep. That’s certainly an interesting way to look at it there, chief.
