I’ve got chills – they’re multiplying, because I just saw the cover of this John Travolta and Olivia Newton John Christmas album and I am hopelessly devoted to the breathtakingly cheesy EVERYTHING of this collaborative project.
Almost 35 years after the release of Grease, Sandy and Danny are finally reuniting in song for the album called This Christmas which is REAL and will be released on 13 November 2012. John Travolta says, “My desire was to make This Christmas an intimate album, not something too ostentatious or showy. I wanted people to be able to play it around the house or in the car during the holidays, and make us part of your celebration.”
Guest include fellow old people Cliff Richard, Barbra Streisand and Kenny G, and all artist proceeds will be distributed equally between the Jett Travolta Foundation and the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre in Melbourne.
This is Olivia N-J’s second contribution to Christmas-themed diversions, the first of which is her starring role in made-for-television Mannequin rip off A Mom For Christmas. Highly recommended.
