Jimmy Fallon Re-Created The ‘Fresh Prince’ Opening Titles Because He’s The Greatest

This is it, gang. This is the final, indisputable piece of evidence in case of “Is Jimmy Fallon the coolest guy on the planet? And why is he?” This is it. It’s over. It’s done. Go home, everyone else. Game over.

The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon is on the road at the moment, after making a stop in Arizona for the Super Bowl, the crew headed out west to spend a bit of time taping the show from Los Angeles.
And because he’s an enormous legend who can pretty much do whatever he wants these days, Fallon and the gang decided to mark the occasion by re-creating the opening title sequence from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, complete with retro-fitted lyrics covering the journey from the Rockefeller Centre to Universal Studios.
Seriously, this is the coolest thing. It’s beat-perfect – even including Will Smith‘s incredible head wiggle at the end – and not only features Tonight Show regulars like The Roots, Steve Higgins, and head writer AD Miles, but also a couple of sly little cameos from Alfonso “Carlton Banks” Ribeiro, and The Fresh Prince’s beat man DJ Jazzy Jeff.
Way to go, Jimmy. Absolutely nailed it.
