What do Martin Scorsese, David Lynch, Jean Pierre Jeunet, Chris Cunningham and Wong Kar Wai all have in common? Creative flair? The ability to tell stories? Penises? Nope, none of the above. Well yeah, sure, especially their penises but for the purposes of this post the most apparent link is star powered fragrance commercials. The latest auteur/cosmetics pairing is Revlon and Requiem For A Dream/Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky who films Jessica Biel in black and white slow motion as she applies mascara to her lashes and hypnotizes Pharrell Williams.
