After a year of dating and collaborating on one of the most beguiling major films in recent memory, Jennifer Lawrence and director Darren Aronofksy have reportedly split.
USA Today cites a source close to the situation, who claims they aren’t authorised to speak about the separation. People has also confirmed the news.
While no reasoning for their split has been made public, the circumstances of their relationship provide room for conjecture: Lawrence, 27, only started dating Aronofsky, 48, after they wrapped the filming of the critically divisive mother!.

The split comes after Lawrence’s profile in Vogue’s August 2017 issue, in which she heaped praise upon Aronofsky as an artist, and as a regular dude.
“When I saw the movie, I was reminded all over again how brilliant he is,” she said.
“For the past year, I’ve been dealing with him as just a human.”
Discussing the ease with which they coexisted, Lawrence added “I’ve been in relationships before where I am just confused. And I’m never confused with him.”
