HBO have premiered two new trailers for forthcoming comedy special Talking Funny. Premiering April 22, the show documents four of the funniest human beings on the planet – Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Ricky Gervais, and Louis C.K. – as they talk about jokes while simultaneously making jokes. Funny right? LOL town population you bro. The show serves as a high-powered primer for budding comics with points of discussion such as “When is it time to add new material to your act?” and “How do you know when you’ve hit on the proverbial ‘thing’ that sets you apart?” but you won’t need a degree in drama or failed one-man show to relate either. Case in point is the universal quandary raised in snippet one: what’s the deal with street signs?

If you’re unfamiliar with the aforementioned comics outside of their television work (what do you have against laughing?), acquaint yourself with the comedy stylings of Chris Rock, Louis C.K. and Jerry Seinfeld below. As some vague form of control these bits are all about the differences between men and women. I couldn’t find a Gervais example because he finds men vs. women stuff anodyne. Which is kind of true but this LOL triumvirate make funny regardless. Warning: heaps of swears. *Def Jam Comedy mic drop*.
