The Beyoncé of the Silver Screen, Jennifer Lawrence eschewed traditional red carpet protocol at yesterday’s London premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire by terminating a presumably inane interview to jump the bollards and console Your New Proxy Spirit Animal – a crying fan so overwhelmed with being in the very presence of Jennifer Lawrence that the poor thing broke down into a sobbing mess. That, or they’re just a really young child and crying is their natural state?
With a simple gesture, Lawrence has not only broken down the literal barriers that exist between the red carpet and the general admission section, but the fourth wall that used to stand between dreaming and waking, reality and the movies, and the once-impenetrable fortress that is your heart.
