The Preatures frontwoman and activist Isabella Manfredi has revealed today that not only is she preggers with her first child, a baby girl, but that she is also engaged, and we would like to join this v. creative fam pls.
Izzi shared the news this morning on Instagram, sharing photos with her partner, fellow muso and creative technologist, Rupert Parry, on Mollymook Beach on the NSW South Coast.
“This year I get to marry my person and give birth to our beautiful little girl. Can’t wait to do it all with you @rupertparry,” she wrote in the caption.
The suite of photos also included a shot of a smiling Izzi with her engagement ring and celebrating with champagne (obvs before she was pregnant), as well as baby bump shots from throughout her pregnancy.

Rupert posted his own set of shots from their relationship and Izzi’s pregnancy, writing, “2021 — getting married to my true love, and bringing a little baby girl into the world.”

Isabella’s post has attracted plenty of love so far, including from model Jessica Gomes, the Flight Facilities lads and KLP.
Earlier this week, Isabella Manfredi appeared to tease the release of new music in 2021 and hint at her unborn daughter on Instagram, with a photo of herself in the studio.
She wrote in the caption that it had been three-and-a-half years since the release of The Preatures’ last record, Girlhood, in August 2017, and almost two years since she “played a proper show of my own songs.”
She continued: “And then comes the joy of new life and new work and I feel very lucky I get to A) make music and B) share it with people. 2021 is the year of new music and the best song so far.”
So is “the best song by far” code for her bb girl? Or is it a literal new song? We’ll probably find out whenever Izzi (and Rupert) choose to share.
