Girls’ Rights Charity Reportedly Flooded With Hate After Dropping Isabel Lucas As Ambassador

Last week, Plan International Australia, a girls’ rights charity, ended Isabel Lucas’ ambassadorship following her comments about COVID-19 vaccinations.

The charity made the announcement on Twitter after a fan wrote:

“Are you aware your ambassador, actress Isabel Lucas, is one of these conspiracy theorists stoking fears during this crisis? She’s also anti-vaccination… go figure.”

Plan International Australia replied, “We are aware of the issues and as of today, Ms Lucas and Plan International have come to a mutual agreement to end the ambassadorship.”

Confidential reports that shortly after their announcement, the charity began receiving hateful messages on their social media accounts, prompting them to disable comments.

The publication reports that makeup artist Shona Lowry wrote, “What about supporting free speech for women in Australia? Deleting comments and blocking people without addressing them is disgraceful for a charity that requests money from people claiming to invest in women’s rights while ignoring the actual thing you say you support.”

In the comments section of her latest Instagram post, fans have been reacting to Lucas’ stance on the issue, with some criticising Plan International Australia for subsequently dropping the actress as an ambassador over the comments.

“Due to differing views, PLAN International and I have mutually and respectfully agreed to part ways,” she wrote on Insta.

She went on to discuss the dangers of 5G with another follower, writing: “I’d encourage you look through the evidence in the strategy kit @no5gaustralia.”

In fact, if you head to her Insta, you’ll see there’s a highlight featuring all kinds of 5G malarkey, along with the following post:
