Hope You Like Dags Because Guy Ritchie’s ‘Snatch’ Is Being Remade For TV

AAAAAAARGH. THE REBOOTS. THEY ARE TAKING OOOOVERRRRRRRR.

Okay, so it’s not apocalyptic bad, but it’s getting pretty dire, people.
To add to the ever-growing pile of rebooted movies and television series’, Sony’s Crackle has decided to stick the Doc Marten boot in and really fuck with us.
They’re doing a TV series based on Guy Ritchie‘s cult film, ‘Snatch’
Yeah, that iconic movie about a big diamond and pikeys and bare-knuckle boxing and a dog and cannibal pigs and Brad Pitt trying to do an accent with only a tenuous grasp of the United Kingdom‘s vast linguistic identity.
Here y’are, luv:
So, Crackle’s going to attempt to do ^^^ this. There’s no word yet on actors or directors, and there’s no confirmation on whether Guy Ritchie or anyone from the OG film is involved.
But from what Crackle’s said so far, sounds like it’s ‘based on’ and not a ‘retelling’, so the story will be different but will carry the same vibes:

“Crackle will carry the spirit of the setting in the original feature film, while creating a new world born from the original movie.

Informed by a real life gold bullion heist in London, the show centers on a group of twenty-something, up and coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime.

The boys must quickly learn to navigate the treacherous waters of London’s underworld as rogue cops, gypsy fighters, international mobsters and local villains descend.”
Fookin’ hell. Gypsy fighters?
YOU DID, CRACKLE. YOU TOOK THE JAM OUT OF MY DOUGHNUT.
