The ‘Aladdin’ Live-Action Movie Is 100% Happenin’ & Guy Ritchie’s Directing

YASSSSSSSSSS, IT’S A WHOLE NEW WORLD!
We’ve been dreaming of the next Disney live-action movie already and ‘Aladdin’ has been thrown about a few times, but now we got real confirmation, and more than that – an attached name.
Variety is reporting that gangster genius Guy Ritchie is currently in talks to be spearheading a live-action version of ‘Aladdin‘, which is… unexpected.
The director, most commonly known for cult films ‘Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels’ and ‘Snatch‘ will allegedly be directing the iconic children’s movie. Like, we know that Aladdin was obsessed with rubies and jewels too, but that’s really the only connection we can see to Ritchie‘s forte.
While there’s not a wealth of information currently available, we do know that Dan Lin is producing – he also produced Ritchie’s two ‘Sherlock Holmes’ movies for Warner Bros.

*crosses fingers and hopes for pikey Brad Pitt to play minor supporting role somehow*. We’ll do anything.
