HOLY LEMON SHERBET: Yung Dumbledore Confirmed For ‘Fantastic Beasts 2’

Here’s some news that we promise you will love more than the delightful Muggle sweet, Sherbet Lemons.
It’s been one hundo percent confirmed that our favourite headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry, the illustrious Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, will appear in the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ franchise.
It was announced a month or so ago that the new ‘Fantastic Beasts‘ movie – originally thought to be a standalone film and then a trilogy – would actually span a whopping five films.
So, while he ain’t gonna appear in the first film (it comes out in just over a week – Hollywood‘s fast, but not that fast), he’ll definitely be appearing as a younger man in the next one.
‘Fantastic Beasts’ is set in 1926, which will make Dumbledore a fresh spring chicken of 44 – 45 years of age. Uh huh! He was born in 1881 – he’d be 135, if he was alive today.
Current director David Yates confirmed this all during the roundtable interview at the film’s press junket, saying they’re currently casting for the part:
“In the second movie Dumbledore comes back. He’s got a couple of good scenes with Newt [Scamander]…

We’re discussing who would play Dumbledore, any suggestions would be good. [laughs]”
But the most interesting part about all of this is that it was also recently announced that Gellert Grindelwald will feature in the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ films.
Grindelwald was Dumbledore‘s rival and nemesis; he was the wizard that many regarded as one of the most powerful Dark wizards in the world, second only to Voldemort.
Some quick history for y’all that need a refresher:
He and Dumbledore had what many regarded as the “greatest wizarding duel of all time” over the Elder Wand, which Albus obviously won. Afterwards, Grindelwald was jailed in Nurmengard, the jail he himself had built to house his enemies; it carried the slogan, ‘For the Greater Good‘. He was slain in his cell by Voldemort, who was looking for the Elder Wand.
J.K. Rowling has confirmed in the past that Dumbledore was not only a gay man (that’s canon, yo), but was in love with Grindelwald as a young man – so BRING ON THE WIZARD SMOOCHES.
The second instalment of the pentology isn’t out until November of 2018 though, so you’ve got to hold out for a year to see sexy yung Dumbledore. Soz.
p.s. Let’s acknowledge this: after the new casting for ‘Fantastic Beasts’, we will have had three actors play the one role. Who does Dumbledore think he is, Doctor Who?
