Remember that hero cat from last week that saved the toddler who was attacked by the neighbours’ dog? Of course you do! She’s a brave kitty cat!
Anyway, now Tara the cat is being honoured as any true American hero would: Californian baseball team Bakersfield Blaze has bestowed the privilege of throwing out the first pitch at Tuesday’s game on her. Or, you know, probably one of her owners, rather than Tara herself, who as a cat probably lacks an understanding about the complexities of the game, not to mention thumbs.
Update: Tara the Hero Cat and family will throw out the first pitch on Tuesday, May 20th, and BOGO offer for fans donating animal food/toy!

Since saving four-year-old Jeremy, Tara’s gone on a publicity tour that’s taken in NBC and ABC News, where it was revealed that when Jeremy was a baby she used to curl up in his cot with him. Dogs: you better have something amazing up your sleeves.
