Harrison Ford Is Back For A New Indiana Jones Despite Being Old As Hell

Harrison Ford is back for another instalment of Indiana Jones, expected to hit cinemas in July 2019. That’s right, despite being literally 73 years old, he’s ready for another crack at the iconic franchise.

“Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019,” Disney chairman Alan Horn said in a statement.

Spielberg is back directing, of course. This follows a few years of speculation on who exactly would play Indy in a new film – with names like Chris Pratt being floated. Well, your answer is here: the same guy who played him in the 80’s. Presumably the massively positive response to Ford playing Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens was more than a little influential here.
The last entry in the series, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, came out in 2008. Which means there’s been a looooong gap between movies.
