The show all about ads on the only Australian network bereft of them – ‘Gruen Planet‘ – is returning to Australian screens this year, with an official release date locked in on ABC.
Chucking a Sean Parker and streamlining their infamous name, ‘Gruen Planet’ / ‘Gruen Transfer’ will now simply be known as ‘Gruen‘, and is set to return on September 9, TV Tonight reports.

Famed for creating a nationally-recognised rivalry between advertising heavyweights Russel Howcroft and Todd Sampson—mediated weekly by Wil Anderson—’Gruen’ will replace Charlie Pickering‘s ‘The Weekly’ and its prime Wednesday 8:30 PM time slot.
As for the work in the firing line this season? Terrible country ads appear to be one of Gruen’s targets.
This year on #Gruen we will be celebrating best/weirdest/worst country TV ads of all time so if you have a tip: https://t.co/cFbdQU5zKJ
