Gordon Ramsay, Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire and inventor of the iconic idiot sandwich, has become a father for the fifth time, after his wife Tana Ramsay gave birth to a son earlier this week.

The celebrity chef shared the news with his 6.2 million followers on Instagram, writing: “After 3 baftas and one Emmy … finally we have won an Oscar, please welcome Oscar James Ramsay, who touched down at 12:58 today for some lunch!”
Gordon and Tana have been married since 1996, and their other children – Megan, aged 21, twins Holly and Jack, aged 19, and Matilda, aged 17 – are all significantly older, but all seem pretty smitten with their new baby brother. Jack recently shared an image of him cuddling Oscar:

Gordon Ramsay seems like a fairly no-nonsense parent, and told the UK Telegraph that he expects his children to work and pay their own way, and that amongst other things, they don’t sit with him in first class when the family travels.
“They haven’t worked anywhere near hard enough to afford that,” he said. “At that age, at that size, you’re telling me they need to sit in first class? No, they do not. We’re really strict on that.”
