Google Releases 2011 Zeitgeist, Knows All Our Secrets

Google have leaked the details of their annual Zeitgeist report (not out for a few weeks) to the Australian media, which details the most searched-about terms for this calendar year. The results, if not surprising, are certainly disappointing.

So what are we asking the worldly oracle in 2011? Well for starters, the most searched question from our shores wasn’t even that original, but it sure was funny.

In other terrifying news, almost as many of us searched for news regarding the death of dance festival muscle junkie Zyzz as technology pioneer Steve Jobs. While we were at it, we devoted serious keyboard strokes to researching the following important concepts: energy, ‘culture’, depression…and planking. We were also more interested in the iPhone 5 than the uprising in Libya.

Somewhere in heaven, Zyzz is pumping iron and laughing heartily at all of us.
