Gigi Hadid has gone on a mad rant via her Instagram after being informed by her manager that she is being “legally pursued” for uploading a pap shot of her that she does not have the rights to.

Hadid shared two angry pages about the incident, revealing that the now-deleted photo was taken out the front of an event last week where she happily posed for a pap.

“I posed/smiled for the photo because I understand that this is part of my job, this was an appropriate situation for ‘the press’ to attend, and also that this is how paparazzi make a living,” she writes.

“Most situations are not this way, i.e. leaving my apartment, or any time I feel that my privacy is being unreasonably intruded upon, doing everyday things feel harder to face.”

Adding, “These people make money off us everyday, LEGALLY stalking us day in and day out – for nothing special – for us to walk six feet to a car and six feet into a work building. They drive dangerously close and extremely recklessly; they put the general public in danger in pursuit of a photo.”

She goes on to recount incidents where paps have put hers and her mates lives in danger.

“I and many people I know have gotten in car accidents in cabs/car-services because of paparazzi and it seems that they can never get enough,” she writes.

On the next page, she says that dealing with invasive photogs on a daily basis takes a “mental/emotional toll” on her, adding that she often stays inside to avoid having her picture taken.

She then specifically calls out the company accusing her, writing:

“For someone to take a situation where I was trying to be open, and sue me for a photo I FOUND ON TWITTER (with no photographer’s name on the image), for a photo he has already been paid for by whatever outlet put it online is absurd.”

She says that had the photographer asked her to credit him/her, she would have “been happy to tag and give credit”.

Following Gigi’s post, loads of her celebrity peers have taken to the comments section to whole-heartedly agree with her stance.

“We’re ‘public figures’ and it’s legal for them to invade our privacy,” wrote Gigi’s m8 Kylie Jenner. “It’s pretty disappointing, we gotta change this.”

“So much yes,” writes Ruby Rose. “It’s a double standard I’ve never understood.”

Her little sis Bella Hadid had her back, writing: “Well said sister! Thank you.” “Yesss, thank you,” Em Rata adds.

“Love this and you,” wrote fellow model Olivia Culpo.
