‘Game Of Thrones’ Teaser Sparks Theories About Where TF Daenerys Got To

Earlier today, HBO released the first spine-tingling teaser for the upcoming seventh season of ‘Game of Thrones‘, and it set the internet alight: just where the fuck is Daenerys Targaryen?

The 1.30 minute clip shows Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) on a long walk to their respective thrones: Cersei to the Iron Throne, Jon to presumably what used to be just a grand old seat before he became King in the North, and Daenerys to… where?

Well, the internet is pretty sure it’s Dragonstone, a.k.a. the traditional home of the Targaryens and the former home of Stannis Baratheon, given to him by his brother in the aftermath of Robert’s Rebellion.

According to the ASOIAF wiki, the design of Dragonstone is “very dragon-orientated”, with the Great Hall carved in the shape of a huge dragon lying on its belly, the great tower of Windwyrm shaped like a dragon screaming into the sky, and any number of gates shaped like dragons and torch brackets shaped like claws.

Definitely sounds like a decent description of the building Daenerys is sitting in, no? And is that dragonstone?

Also – extremely importantly – Dragonstone is an ideal location for Daenerys to land, giving that it’s on the right side of the country for her travels.

At last check, was merely being held by Lord Waters (loyal to Cersei) and whatever remained of his heavily butchered forces. He’s probably dead now.

Just gotta wait till July 17 to find out.
