First Still From Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr. Fox

While the world goes crazy with WTWTAF (Where The Wild Things Are Fever) an epidemic which rivals Swine Flu in it’s ferocity, Wes Anderson (The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, The Life Aquatic) readies his stop motion take on Roald Dahl’s classic Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Oft compared to the aforementioned film (Spike Jonze’s Where The Wild Things Are) Anderson has his work cut out if he wants to make this year’s best loved film adaptation of a children’s classic. But if anyone can do it’s Wes. Slated for a November release the film has a stellar cast which includes Anderson regulars Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman and Anjelica Huston as well as George Clooney, Meryl Streep and Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker and was also co-written by the talented Noah Baumbach (The Squid And The Whale).

If that all-star team isn’t enough to whet your cinematic appetite the first stills from the film have also been released so let’s momentarily forget about Where The Wild Things Are and geek out about this for a while!
