Lady Gaga is making her official acting debut (‘official’ because her life is a performance) in the new movie from Robert Rodriguez the director of Desperado and Sin City.
The movie is called Machete Kills and, according to IMDB, features Gaga along with Amber Heard and Mel Gibson in a story about a man named Machete (Danny Trejo) who is recruited by the U.S. government to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space.
It might not sound like classic Oscar bait but it sounds like Fucking Awesome bait, and that’s the most important thing.
Rodriguez tweeted the movie poster for Lady Gaga’s character “La Chameleon”. He wrote: “I just finished working with @ladygaga on @MacheteKills , she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!”
La Chameleon appears to be a femme fatale type with a lax attitude to the mission of PETA:
The movie also features Charlie Sheen as the president of the United States of America which helps set the tone:
