You’ve seen Freddy vs Jason, you’ve seen Batman vs Superman (well I haven’t and never will, but you get the point), and now the next big, fuck off crossover has arrived: Godzilla vs Kong.
In the first trailer for the upcoming monster movie to end all monster movies, giant ape King Kong goes up against big lizard Godzilla.

Legends collide in “Godzilla vs. Kong” as these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home, and with them is Jia, a young orphaned girl with whom he has formed a unique and powerful bond. But they unexpectedly find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla, cutting a swath of destruction across the globe. The epic clash between the two titans—instigated by unseen forces—is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.
The wild-ass trailer for Godzilla vs Kong provides more insight into the premise, including how Kong and his protectors are on a quest to find Kong his real home. The enormous ape befriends an orphan child named Jia, who is the only one able to communicate with him.
But their quest quickly turns to shit as he crosses paths with reptilian king, Godzilla. They soon learn that more chaos is afoot as something is provoking Godzilla into hurting humans and demolishing cities.
It’s all just so fucking wild and chaotic that I legit cannot believe they’re making this movie, but good god(zilla), am I excited!!!
