Disney Finally Announce Star Wars Release Date


After it was announced that Disney would be behind the new Star Wars films, fans began speculation on whether they were going to fuck it up. Once Disney confirmed that the films would be directed by J.J Abrams, fans began speculation on whether he was going to fuck it up. 

After all that speculation, fans have finally been given a concrete release date for ‘Star Wars: Episode VII‘ – December 18th, in the year 2015. And so, now that we know for sure when we’ll be able to see it, all that’s left to do is A New hope it’s not going to be fucked up.

Earlier reports indicated that, as a result of some essential script rewriting, the release date would be pushed back to 2016. In a statement responding to (internet) rumours that Abrams was worried about being ready for the new opening date, Alan Horn, Chairman of Disney Studios said, “We’re very excited to share the official 2015 release date for Star Wars: Episode VII, where it will not only anchor the popular holiday film-going season but also ensure our extraordinary filmmaking team has the time needed to deliver a sensational picture.”
