Demi Moore In “Shock” After Man Drowns In Her Pool, Releases Statement

Yesterday, it was reported that a young man had died following a party at actress Demi Moore‘s house, drowning in her swimming pool.
Today, the man has been identified as 21-year-old Edenilson Steven Valle, who was attending a party that had allegedly been thrown by Moore’s assistant, while she was absent.
The 52-year-old actress was overseas at the time, and said she was in “absolute shock” when she heard word of the young man’s death. She has since released a statement via her representation, saying:
“I was out of the country travelling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news. My heart goes out to this young man’s family and friends.”
It is believed that Valle, who did not know how to swim, slipped and fell into the pool. He was pulled from the deep end, after being in the water for an estimated 10-15 minutes, and pronounced dead at 5.30am.
Police have confirmed that neither Moore nor any of her family members were home at the time of the incident, but Fox News note that she may face civil liability, as “employers are liable for the acts of their employees whether or not they are on the premises.”
