Wide angle lens lovers, the Coen Brothers, have just released the trailer for their latest cinematic effort True Grit, which hits cinemas on Christmas Day of this year. Incredibly, the filmmaking tag team have pulled off the formidable task of producing one (great) movie per year over the last three years: No Country for Old Men (2007), Burn After Reading (2008), and A Serious Man (2009). ‘True Grit’ is a western based on the 1968 novel by Charles Portis – which was adapted for film in 1969 starring John Wayne in his Academy Award winning performance as U.S. Marshal Reuben J. “Rooster” Cogburn. Coen brothers’ regular Jeff Bridges will play Rooster, and Matt Damon and Josh Brolin also star. There’s a 99 per cent chance this will be awesome.
