Clooney, Tatum, Johansson & Co Star In Coen Bros’ Epic “Hail, Caesar!” Trailer

It’s been a long two years since the untouchables of cinema, Joel and Ethan Coen, released a film of their own (2014 was the first year since 2006 that the duo didn’t release a Coen Bros-led feature); but today—be still my beating heart—the unashamedly Coen-y “Hail Caesar!” has dropped its first trailer, and by God is she a beauty.

There’s currently at least eight reasons to ~drop everything~ and observe Coen Bros deliver what could be their biggest, mainstream magnum opus: Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Tilda Swinton, Scarlett Johansson (ft. a delightfully broad Baawwwston accent), Frances McDormand, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Ralph Fiennes.

With one of those reasons working harder than the others.

“Hail, Cesar!” –
The Artist meets Grand Budapest Hotel meets Fargo meets Simpsons S13, E15 – comes with a slugline which doesn’t do itself justice:

“Eddie Mannix is a Hollywood “fixer” helping the production of the upcoming film entitled Hail Caesar starring Baird Whitlock (George Clooney). When Whitlock is kidnapped by a group named “The Future” Mannix is the one in charge of collecting 100,000 dollars and rescuing him.”

BEHOLD.
