Sydney Mates Made A ‘Friends’ Parody With Their Pet Chickens & It’s Fucking Eggceptional

This self-isolation period has resulted in some Logie-worthy homemade content nationwide. One such piece of Logie-worthy homemade content belongs to Sydney-siders Ellie and Sophie, who posted a Friends intro chicken parody and subsequently set the internet alight.

Behold, Chickens:

The 45-second clip nails the historic Friends intro, from *the* couch to *those* jump cuts and, of course, The Rembrandts‘ “I’ll Be There for You” playing innocently in the background. Put simply, it’s wholesome as fuck and you need to see it.

“The video was all done in one afternoon,” Ellie, a 22-year-old who works in marketing, tells PEDESTRIAN.TV.

“I really want to say something about the real names of the chickens being withheld so they can live a normal life out of the spotlight, [but] they belong to my friend Sophie who made the video with me. Their real names are Tandoori, Korma and Schnitzel.”

Ellie and Sophie are both socially-isolating. “I am working from home 3 days a week and doing uni from home 2 days a week. I am very blessed that my day-to-day activities have easily been adapted to a life at home, but have been feeling a little flat and a little stir crazy! Hence the video…”

Check out the pair’s iconic works below, and say g’day to Belinda, Rebecca and Mary – your new favourite chicken characters – while you’re at it. I am simply clucky for this content. Keep it coming.
