The future of mornings on Channel Ten has been revealed with exactly zero ceremony. And there’s a reason for that: it’s depressing as fuck.
Replacing the eternally under-performing Wake Up will be Ready, Steady, Cook, repeats of Entertainment Tonight and The Bold and the Beautiful, and Jamie’s 30 Minute Meals. Presumably, it’s just a temporary arrangement – Wake Up might have been a ratings dud, but watching The Bold and the Beautiful first thing in the morning is like ice cream for breakfast: it’s bad for you and it will make you vomit.
Ten’s yet to announce what will fill the timeslots held by its three newly-axed news bulletins, but we’ve got our fingers crossed for repeats of The Bolt Report. What can we say? We love us some Andy.
