Moira Fkn Rose Just Beat Emily In Paris For A Golden Globe, So Let’s Celebrate That

Catherine O'Hara

The 78th Annual Golden Globes are happening right now via Zoom, and while we’re keeping a running list of the winners for you right HERE, I just had to shout out our queen Moira Rose (Catherine O’Hara), who just beat Emily in Paris for a trophy.

The always excellent Catherine O’Hara scored the Best Actress in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy gong for her work on Schitt’s Creek, which follows up her epic Emmy win late last year for the same role.

She beat out Lily Collins, who was controversially nominated for the show we all love to hate, Emily in Paris. Moira — er, Catherine — also pipped nominees Kaley Cuoco (The Flight Attendant), Jane Levy (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist), and Elle Fanning (The Great) at the post.

Her speech, which she made in typical Moira Rose fashion in a monochrome outfit and holding a wine, was delightfully chaotic, with her husband Bo Welch sitting beside her playing the annoying “you’ve talked too long, now get off” warning music on his phone.

Catherine O’Hara thanked her co-stars Dan Levy and Eugene Levy profusely for making her “part of their family”, which made me a little too emotional especially since we know Schitt’s Creek is done for good. At least we know that Moira is forever. Check out her entire speech that someone filmed on their phone and uploaded to Twitter here:
