Overnight, Education Minister Christopher Pyne was a guest on The Project, and Carrie Bickmore, making a special appearance after her Gold Logie win, went ahead and made things super awkward for him.
It wasn’t even a political grilling that made things uncomfortable. Instead, Bickmore told the minister that she thought of him while she gave birth – specifically, as her baby was crowning.
It turned out that Bickmore watched a video of his infamous “I’m a fixer” appearance on Sky News the night she went into labour, and that it gave her a laugh when she was in “intense pain.”
“You’re not the first person who’s said that,” replied a confused and slightly terrified Pyne.
The guest and hosts all wore beanies, in support of Bickmore’s public campaign to raise money for brain cancer research, announced during her Gold Logie acceptance speech
