Hell hath no fury like a fiery Carrie Bickmore scorned, as demonstrated in a smackdown delivered last night on ‘The Project’.
Caught squarely in the crosshairs yesterday was a tweet penned by 2GB radio shock jock Steve Price, who commented on seeing a woman breastfeeding while walking through a domestic airport terminal. Truth be told, worse tweets have been twat, but when you’re a public personality with a penis, commenting on the choices of mothers probably isn’t where your battles should be picked.

Responses to the tweet ran thick and fast, from “What is it about boobs that make grown-ups flaky?” to, “imbecile“, to “wait, a woman was multi-tasking? Better shut that shit down,”, etc.
‘The Project’ took on the story, putting Carrie Bickmore as their MVP to take on Price. Banter escalates quickly as CB brought her A game over the issue, activating beast mode, and asking, “Seriously, why?“
A solid defence of women’s rights and call-out of the bullshit mothers face on the regular, to be sure. But as Bickmore points out later in the interview, saying anything to attract an on-air fight is nothing but the essence of a shock jock’s contract; 100% par for the course. Being put in the bin is their lifeblood.
Price rounded off the story by calling out his online-shamers as “feral“, and said, “I can comment on what I like, when I like, and people can just go and jam it as far as I’m concerned.”
