Caitlyn Jenner Responds To Ricky Gervais’ Golden Globes Jokes

Caitlyn Jenner was not at the Golden Globes this week when Ricky Gervais took a crack at her, and didn’t even Tweet anything about it afterwards, suggesting that she was piiiiiiised
“I’ve changed,” said Gervais in his Globes monologue. “Not as much as Bruce Jenner, obviously.” He then went on to praise her for her transgender activisim, before adding “she didn’t do a lot for women drivers, but you can’t have everything.”
In the days that followed, Gervais flatly refused to apologise for any of his jokes, saying:
“… suggesting a joke about Caitlyn Jenner is automatically transphobic is like suggesting a joke about Bill Cosby is automatically racist. You have every right to be offended. Just don’t cry when no one cares.”
At a TV Critics Association panel to launch the second season of her show I Am Cait, Jenner finally got around to responding, and seemed remarkably chill about the whole situation.
When asked about his jokes, she responded:

“… on Ricky, I’m going to call the Globes and see if they need a new host for next year and that will solve that problem.”
Jenner responded to questions about her health and beauty tips as the world’s highest-profile transgender woman with “eat your Wheaties“, a reference to her famous appearance on a cereal box in her former career as an athlete.
