Brody Jenner has taken to social media to defend his “wonderful” ex Kaitlynn Carter, after she copped a significant amount of heat when she was seen kissing Miley Cyrus.
In case you somehow missed all of this, the twowomen were photographed being very affectionate together while hanging out poolside during a recent trip to Italy.
The photographs emerged the same day that Miley announced her breakup with husband Liam Hemsworth, and a week after Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn announced their own split.
As they are wont to do, a large number of strangers on social media began to blame Kaitlynn for destroying her friend’s marriage or being a homewrecker.
Brody finally felt compelled to speak up, in a lengthy Notes App post to Instagram, saying:
“There is far too much negativity being directed at someone who I love and care about very much. I feel the need to set the story straight. Kaitlynn and I have been best friends for 6 ears and we continue to be. We, like many others before and after s, grew in different directions over those same 6 years.””
He continued:
“Kaitlynn is a wonderful person, beautiful and fun to be with, always a positive force in my life. We decided the best move for both of us was to keep our love for each other strong but move forward separately with our lives. I respect Kaitlynn and care deeply about her. She deserves to be able to move forward in her life with respect and happiness.”
