If you’re not too familiar with the awards show, it celebrates the very best in children’s programming from all around the world.

The official nominations were announced overnight, with the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences sharing the good news. Bluey has been nominated in the Kids: Preschool category, along with German kids show Animanimals, Chile’s Petit, and South Korea’s SuperWings Missions Teams.

The hit kids show follows a six-year-old blue heeler dog – named Bluey, in case you missed that – and her family as she gets up to all sorts of adventures.

The Bluey crew are unsurprisingly STOKED. Producing whiz Daley Pearson shared a team photo on Twitter to celebrate the news.

“Bluey’s made under one roof in Brisbane, Australia and I’m so proud and lucky to hang around creator Joe Brumm, producer and EP Charlie Aspinwall and the whole beautiful team at the studio,” Pearson said in a separate tweet.

Pearson thanked the show’s network ABCTV, Screen Australia, and Screen Queensland, as well as all the cast and crew for their brilliant efforts.

“And thank you to all the beautiful Australian families who have welcomed Bluey into your homes. Thank you for loving Bluey as much as we love making it for you. The response is overwhelming and we’ve loved getting to know you over the past year.”

Win or lose, we couldn’t be more proud.

Earlier this year, Bluey copped the gong for most outstanding children’s program at the 2019 TV Week Logie Awards.

The 8th International Emmy Kids Awards will take place Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

Stay tuned.
