Tones And I Smashes ARIA Award Noms With Eight Chances To Win A Giant Spike

The full list of nominees for the 2019 ARIA Awards has been released, and we would like to cordially invite you to the Tones Zone.

Aussie pop phenomenon Tones And I has been recognised with an astonishing eight nominations, recognising her success on the Australian charts – not to mention her #1 spots in New Zealand, the UK, Germany, Denmark, Ireland, and most of Scandinavia.

Tones And I, her single Dance Monkey, and its corresponding EP The Kids Are Coming, are up for awards including Best Female Artist, Best Pop Release, Breakthrough Artist, and Song of the Year.

(We’re counting Dance Monkey maestro Konstantin Kersting‘s nominations for Engineer and Producer of the Year towards that count, FYI. Sam Teskey of The Teskey Brothers and Matt Corby‘s dude Dann Hume have already won those awards, respectively.)

Elsewhere, bluesy boys The Teskey Brothers have made a mark with their latest effort Run Home Slow, while veterans Hilltop Hoods are up for Album Of The Year, Best Group, and Best Hip Hop release. Naturally.

Thelma Plum‘s exemplary Better In Blak is also up for a slew of awards, recognising her record’s immensely welcome presence.

Voting is now open for a stack of awards, meaning you can budge the needle in favour of your favourite artists. If you’re keen to have a poke around, you can vote here.

Otherwise, get ready for the awards on November 27.
