As we have now entered the seventh circle of box office purgatory known as January-February – the typically shitty slate of films released before the reverberant three-point landings of the tentpole summer blockbusters arrive but after the awards show hopefuls have put their cases forward (in cinemas now: Last Vegas, Robocop, Are We Officially Dating?) – now is as good a time as any to catch up on the films we may have missed last year.
