Ariana Grande Shut Kanye Down When He Tried To Come For Her On Twitter

Ariana Grande, Kanye

As Kanye West‘s latest wild Twitter tear continues, the 41-year-old rapper took a swipe at Ariana Grande, accusing her of using him to promote his music, but the singer shut him down in response, reminding him that she doesn’t need anyone’s help to promote anything at this point.

As you may recall, this all started a few days ago, when Ari Tweeted that she did not want “grown men arguing online” to distract from the release of her and Miley Cyrus‘ new songs, asking if everyone could just behave “for just like a few hours so the girls can shine.”

She didn’t name any names, although Kanye had just sent dozens of accusatory Tweets at his rival Drake, setting the internet on fire in the process, so it’s likely she was referring to this.

In somewhat Trump-ian fashion, West responded:

“I know Ariana said this to be cool and didn’t mean no harm but I don’t like even slightest level of slight commentary from someone I know loves and respects me.”

He later added:

“All of this foolishness weighed on my mental health so @ArianaGrande you know I got love for you but until you’re ready to really make sure everyone’s ok don’t use me or this moment to promote a song.”

Ariana Grande clapped back, saying:

“with all due respect, i don’t need to use anyone to promote anything. period. i was making a comment ab what men were doing at the time vs. women. it was a joke which i understand now was probably insensitive. i apologize if i was in any way triggering and hope u feel well today.”

A short time later, she added:

“last thing. stop weaponizing mental health. everyone.”

Miley Cyrus, who I guess was truly happy just to be invited to this Twitter stoush, later chimed in: “Didn’t they hear the news?! Was IS over! Thank you, next!”

Ariana has since deleted the Tweets in question.
