Grande wrote this dig a couple of hours ago:

Cyrus quoted Grande’s tweet, writing, “Didn’t they hear the news ?! War IS over ! Thank you , next!

Kanye West has been posting impassioned tweets since this morning, accusing Drake of threatening him and his family. It’s a real long, frankly worrying, series, which you can read in full HERE, but it caps off:

This year has been really tough and you have added to the confusion. I’m Ye bro. Remember that. I love you. I would never intentionally hurt you. That’s what I’ve been saying to you. I would never mention your (blank). You’re mad at me for something I didn’t do. I will never make a diss record. I will never put negative energy into a song. Only positive energy.

Drake has only responded with a series of cry-laughing emojis  on his Instagram Story.

Grande’s single ‘Imagine‘ was hyped over the last few days, Grande telling fans the song is about “denial” at the end of a relationship, as compared to the “acceptance” of ‘Thank U, Next‘. Earlier today Grande was posting lyrics from soulful, sorrowful love song with a skittering beat. Now we have it, and it’s as lush and gorgeous as we could hope for.

Cyrus’ single is another collaboration with Mark Ronson, after last month’s sad banger ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart – but it’s a cover this time, of John Lennon and Yoko Ono‘s Vietnam War protest song ‘Happy Xmas (War Is Over)‘. And it features additional vocals from their son Sean Ono Lennon. It’s really an excuse to show off Ronson’s slick production skills, and Cyrus’ incredible voice. Throw it into your Xmas playlist now.

Cyrus and Ronson were already slated to play both singles on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
