2Day FM Reportedly Offering Kyle & Jackie O $12 Million To Lure Them Back

Genuine blights on Australian airwaves, Kyle and Jackie O, may soon be receiving a huge pay rise, according to The Daily Telegraph, as radio network Southern Cross Austereo has reportedly put a $12 million per year offer on the table for Kyle Sandilands and Jackie Henderson to return to their original lair for radio-mongering, 2Day FM.

Twelve. Million. Dollars. For these people
In 2013, Kyle and Jackie O struck a landmark deal with the Australian Radio Network, moving their breakfast show to KIIS FM, in a deal that has been pitted at around $10 million.
Even if Kyle and Jackie O do manage to rate on your most hated human beings list, you can’t deny the pair’s ability to guarantee extremely lucrative ratings in the coveted breakfast time slot: after adding Kyle and Jackie O to their lineup, KIIS FM has surged to the top of radio rankings in Sydney, while Southern Cross Austereo, now sans Kyle and Jackie O, are suffering one of their worst years on record, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Kyle and Jackie O’s contract with ARN ends in 2016; Sandilands told The Daily Telegraph, however, that it would “take more than money” to entice a move back to SCA. Sandilands added, never not painfully on-brand:
“I like that figure though — $12 million a year is a nice number…I just don’t jump through hoops for money any more. But I’m happy for Southern Cross to throw money at us because whatever they throw, ARN will throw more back so it just drives my price up.”
We’ll just leave this here.
