AI Bots Are Conducting Job Interviews Now So Good Luck With Yr Blatant Lies

Ai Bots Could Be Your Next Interviewers

You know those teensy, tiny exaggerations you have on your resume? Well, time to get rid of them because the robots are taking over and they can definitely see through your bull, mate.

It’s not even a ‘sometime in the future’ type thing. It’s right now and if you’ve recently applied to a large corporation, like Ikea, you may have already experienced what it’s like to be interviewed by a robot. Vera, the Russian AI bot is one of them. She’ll call you, identify herself as a robot and ask you if you wish to continue the interview. She’ll even politely send you a follow up email.

Vera’s co-founder Alexei Kostarev, told Sydney Morning Herald, “Right now, we have 200 companies using Robot Vera, which means the software is conducting about 50,000 interviews a day.”

She’s not even the only one. In the U.S.A. bots have been used in recruitment for over a year. These ones even analyse your face to see if you’re lying and such, either during the interview or by watching a recording. Unilever and Lipton Tea are among the big companies putting these computers that are definitely smarter than you to use.

I can’t lie, this kinda freaks me out, because have you EVER seen a robot movie where it didn’t get hectic real quick? No, you haven’t. But apparently there could be a lot of bonuses to this method.

For starters, companies and creators are arguing that it helps eliminate bias during the hiring process. As long as your skills match what is being looked for you’re considered, nothing else matters. At least until you move on to the human-to-human portion of the interview process…

It also means that a lot more people get looked at in the first place, as these bots can get through a lot more candidates. According to Business Insider, using bots meant that Unilever could start recruiting from 2600 colleges for entry-level positions, as opposed to their previous 840.

your next interviewer…

But then there is always the flip side in which it’s just kind of weird to have every single face you pull be judged and analysed. Plus the fact these bots don’t have the capacity to see where a candidate who might not be the perfect fit for this role now, could just be perfect for the company otherwise and grow into something more.

Either way, it’s a thing that is definitely becoming more common, so prepare yourself.
