Basically, they’ve teamed up with Deliveroo to help channel funds into local small businesses. So if you spend $1000+ with Koala, you can cop either a $100 Koala voucher or a $200 Deliveroo voucher.
$1000 sounds like a LOT, but their queen mattress is $1,050 (which is cheap for mattresses tbh) and the Koala three seater sofa is $1,150. So basically, if you were in the market to buy a big ticket home item, you’re gonna be getting the vouchers for nix.
“We all have mates that are doing it tough in small business right now and we wanted to do what we could to help put food on the table of those that put food on our table.” Andrew Cameron, Head of Creative at Koala, said in a press statement.
“Even if people don’t buy with Koala, we hope it at least reminds them to jump on the Deliveroo app and order a Tikka Masala made by their mates down the road instead of one of those microwave ones that are always disappointing.”
