Messina’s Iced VoVo tub is back bitch!!!!!!
Yes, that delicious Aussie biscuit is here in ice cream form and I will once again ignore my lactose intolerance to eat a tub load of it.
The gelato Iced VoVo contains layers of coconut gelato and chunks of shortbread biscuit, topped with marshmallow, a raspberry puree runway and desiccated coconut.
These creams are going for $30 a pop, come in cut little 1L tubs, and look identical to a real Iced VoVo biscuit.
If you’re a Sydney resident, you might recognise these tubs from the Firedoor x Messina collab back in June. The tubs were being sold exclusively Firedoor’s lockdown store Fireshop located in Surry Hills.
But lucky for everyone else (including me) these tubs will now be available across all regular Messina stores, except for The Star and Coolangatta from Jan 18.
BUT you’ll have to preorder to get hands on one of these bad boys.
So how do you order?
If you’re a subscriber, you’ll get a link at 9am on Monday January 18. If you’re not subscribed already, you can do so here.
Alternatively, a link will be added to the website at 10am for non-subscribers.
Then just choose a pick up day and time from your closest store between Jan 22 and 24.
It’s not the first time the Iced VoVo has been transformed into something equally as exquisite. The VoVo has been a chocolate bar, lamington and a Peter’s collab ice cream tub. There’s something about that jam, strawberry icing and shortbread combo that really translates well into any dessert.
AND you can also make your own, thanks to Arnott’s leaking their own secret recipe. Plankton from Spongebob Squarepants wishes getting the secret formula could be that easy.
