Domino’s Adds Vegan Cheese To The Menu & We’re Melting With Excitement

Making dinner plans with vegan friends is about as fun as stepping in fresh dog shit.

We’re not blaming the vegans. Finding a restaurant that offers plant-based alternatives that taste good is tricky at the best of times.

Thankfully, prolific pizza-slingers Domino’s just made Friday nights a helluva lot smoother / cheesier by introducing vegan cheese to the menu.

Yahuh, from right now onwards, you’ll be able to top your discs of deliciousness with high quality, non-GMO, plant-based and preservative free vegan cheese.

“The popularity of, and demand for, vegan products has increased considerably over the years so it’s great we are now able to offer this,” said Domino’s Australia and New Zealand CEO Nick Knight in a statement.

“We have tested this cheese in our LuvLab development kitchen, and confirmed this vegan-friendly alternative has the same taste, texture and melt as real dairy cheese. It’s also cholesterol free, making it the perfect, healthy indulgence.”

Initially vegan cheese will be available in stores for a limited time only. If customers love it enough, it’ll become a staple. You know what that means – you gotta go and get yourself one immediately, lest we lose it à la Mickey D‘s Crunchie McFlurry (RIP).

There will be three dedicated vegan pizzas on offer – the Vegan Avocado Veg, the Vegan Spicy Trio and the Vegan Margherita.

we just want vegan cheese that taste like real cheese

All of Domino’s sauce and bases are vegan-friendly, and all the pizzas on the menu can be altered to suit a vegan diet. Swapping out the usual mozzarella for the vegan-friendly version will set you back just $2.95.

Pizza lovers, rejoice. This is a good day.
