Chuck A Tinnie Up ‘Cos Mary’s Are Sorting You For Hungover Breakfasts

If there’s anyone in Sydney who knows what makes and breaks a hangover, it’s someone who spends more than one night a week in Mary’s in Newtown.

Notorious for partying harder than anyone else I’ve ever met, the team behind the fucked-up delicious burgers, fried chicken, and metal-played-so-loud-you-can-barely-hear-yourself-think are now going to be tending to your sorry selves just about every morning with some dust-busting hangover dishes.
Yep. That’s right. Mary’s CBD are getting up at sparrow’s fart to serve you lot breakfast, Monday to Friday, starting next week.
Wrap your goddamn eyes around this bloody ripper me n’ you, and tell your liver that everything is going to be ok.
Oh shit yeah. (Art: Sindy Sinn.)

Yep, this looks like it’s going to be extremely tasty and devil’s-juice-exorcising for those mornings you wake up after a night on the tins and wonder how exactly you got home with your keys, wallet, phone, and three witches hats.
The Mary’s team have also teamed up with the crew from Loggerhead Coffee Co. to serve that delicious brown bean we all know and love. Precious giver of life. Ahh, le bean.
Jake Smyth has said that the pairing with the Loggerhead coffo pals was perfect as they spend a shitload of time in their Newtown cafe, 212 Blu.
“We have been 212 devotees since they opened their doors- their special blend of care and charm has created a special place in our community. When we took Mary’s to the CBD, we wanted to bring it a slice of Newtown- when it came to a coffee joint to kick our breakfasts off, there was only one choice for us,” Jake said.

“They are family, friends and fucking excellent at kicking hangovers in the nuts- just like us.”

When you hit up the Mary’s CBD spot to pick up that delicious breakfast burg and filter bean drink, you might notice it looks a little different. The whole place is copping a refit, which includes a ‘yuge shrine to the late, great, king of metal, Lemmy Kilmister. Blessed be.

Mary’s CBD will be open from 6.30am Monday through Friday serving breakfast as of next week.
No weekend breakfast – yet. But I guess someone’s gotta tend to their hangovers, too.
